When I announced my retirement from the legal world in 2011 and started traveling, a  good friend bought me the JEFFCOTNER.COM domain. Since then, I started taking lots of pictures — a teenage photography hobby now fully reincarnated in the digital age.  I hope you’re amused, entertained, educated, or touched.

For those who care:  In the photos before 2023, I used primarily a pair of D800s — spectacular cameras.  I’ve ‘moved on’ (and UP) to a pair of Nikon’s mirrorless Z8s.  They’ve got as much computer power as the Space Shuttle and have capabilities indistinguishable from magic. I just hold on and try to keep up.  Go to my Gear & Tips page if you want to hear more about my photography choices.  I’m always happy to talk cameras (or bikes, or air planes, or crazy travel stories, or . . .) with anybody that wants to hear it.  You’ll see very few pictures that include me (and it should usually be obvious I didn’t actually take those).  For example, I’ve put some mostly-goofy pictures OF me in the gallery below.
